Let’s see if Substack works with this idea - to collect recordings and information on the Little Office
A little background
I’m still figuring out Substack. I’ve been reading lots of other Substacks and enjoying them. I had hosted my Little Office recordings on anchor.fm before. Today I decided to move them over to Substack and I find there’s a whole lot more to the platform.
The course still continues on Udemy and Gumroad, though I am looking at moving it over to Payhip or self-hosting. Payhip looks very shiny, but can’t embed H5P things. Do you think Substack might branch out into courseware?
There’s still this balance between putting things behind a paywall and making materials available for free. The idea is to keep making new things free, but refining the courses to give a smooth, organized way to learn about the Little Office.
My main motivation behind the podcast was to be able to listen to recordings on my travels. Although the Treatise on the Little Office still recommends a more solemn prayer time, it is handy to be able to sing along while commuting. There is a recommendation from a medieval book for a laywoman to sing Matins while getting dressed in the morning.
